Blog post - Melissa Brown: Today we had a very busy day! We worked in our groups this morning to finalize our presentations. We ate lunch together at school and began out presentations around 2pm. The presentations were both funny and interesting! The topics were about social work, immigration and autism. Afterwards we American students and mentors went to Amsterdam by train. The buildings were so beautiful and were decorated with many lights for Christmas. Of course we checked out the red light district for its shock factor it did not disappoint. There were many warnings about not purchasing drugs due to recent deaths.
Tomorrow we will finish the papers and Friday we have the day off to explore before heading home on Saturday. The week has passed quickly and I will severely miss my group members from Germany and Holland. We have become very close and the experience has been invaluable. Franzi, my German friend has promised to visit me in Maine. I will lookforward to this very much.
